So this man is overly optimistic, very determined, very confident.
He takes a bat and a ball, steps up to the plate, throws the ball in the air, swings and misses. He says to himself "I know I can do this". He takes the ball a second time, throws it into the air, swings and misses again. Brimming with determination, he takes the ball a third time, throws it in the air, swings and misses, and says to himself, confidently, what a great pitcher.
